Terms of Use

GHOSTSIG is provided free of charge by Consulting Manao GmbH as an experimental, open demonstration of passkey-derived signing. By using it you accept these terms.

Nature of the service

GHOSTSIG is a self-custodial wallet. It derives a signing key in your browser and can sign and submit transactions to the XRP Ledger and to Stellar, including on their main networks. We never hold, control or have access to your keys or your funds, and we cannot reverse, cancel or recover a transaction once it is submitted.

XRP Ledger transactions this page builds, and JSON transactions of your own account it signs without a source tag, carry the source tag 379826498, which lets indexers see how GHOSTSIG is used. Some services may treat tagged transactions differently.

It is not a financial service, a broker or a custodian, and nothing here is financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

Loss of access is permanent

Your account is derived from a single passkey. There is no rotation. The only recovery material is the set of SLIP-39 backup shares the page offers when an account is created and from the wallet afterwards, and anyone holding enough of them controls the account without a passkey. If you lose that passkey without having written down enough shares, or its PRF output changes, the account and any funds in it are permanently unreachable, by you and by us. A session restored from shares holds the key in this page's memory until you disconnect or it locks after ten minutes idle. Do not place funds here that you are not prepared to lose.

Experimental software

This is demonstration software built to show a technique. WebAuthn PRF support varies between platforms and may change. Use test networks unless you fully understand what you are doing.

No warranty

The service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

Liability

Consulting Manao GmbH is liable only where the law does not allow its liability to be excluded: for intent, gross negligence, personal injury and under product liability law.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the service or use it to infringe third-party rights or applicable law.

Third-party services

The page relies on the public XRP Ledger nodes, Stellar Horizon and RPC servers, faucets and asset lists listed on the Privacy page, and on a node you set. Other parties run them, under their own terms.

Changes

Consulting Manao GmbH may change these terms. A change applies from the day it is published here. If you do not accept it, stop using the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Austria, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Exclusive place of jurisdiction, to the extent legally permissible, is Graz, Österreich. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of your country of residence still apply.
